Luang Prabang

So I really liked Laos. Lots of jungly mountains and fewer people than Vietnam, and it didn't seem nearly so hot on most days (even if it was). Luang Prabang is a World Heritage site (the whole city!), and it is super-charming with tons of temples.

I think this is Wat Xieng Thong. There are a lot of pictures of wats on my camera and I can't keep them all straight, but I'm fairly positive that's right, because it fits chronologically with the wats that we visited.

The Laos Jungle with a bridge where 4 guys were collecting our tickets. Yeah...we had to buy tickets to see a waterfall, and the price was quintupled for foreigners (10000 kip for foreigners, 2000 kip for natives).

Kuang Xi Waterfall. The color of the water reminds me of the pools at Yellowstone. Except, of course, that it wasn't geyser water and so we could swim in it. Which we did.

More Kuang Xi Waterfall. And me.
